Mars is observable in the evening southern sky in the constellation of Cancer .It continues to move away from the Earth and appears as a +0.7 mag star by the end of the month. A good viewing opportunity is on 17th April when it is close to M44 the beehive cluster. |

Saturn is observable in the evening southern sky, in the constellation of Virgo .With a small telescope it should be possible to see the narrowly opened rings and numerous moons when conditions are good. . |
