· The night sky – an introduction to its motion over the day/night and over the year – diurnal and annual motions

 

· Finding your way around the sky – using Orion – see chart

 

· Finding the Pole Star – see chart

 

· Observing session – Mars, Orion Nebula and Castor (thought the 28 inch refractor!)
