The 2.7 m diameter fibre glass dome sits atop a reinforced circular brick structure. The main telescope (Intes Micro Deluxe 14 inch ) is mounted on top of a Losmandy mount, all of which are atop a 2.2m high concrete pillar. The dome is driven by a sidereal motor drive and during observing and imaging sessions it can step at sidereal rate to keep the aperture aligned with the object. The observing floor is isolated from the pillar to avoid vibration transfer.
